Villa Samara
Inspired by Samkhya philosophy or known as the dualistic world in the fundamental of Hinduism.
by this ideology, we believe in designing contras entity yet merged in harmony. We put the contrast shape into the design, the contrast theme into one, and merge it all into one unity of arts.
we design the solid mass and void mass, the geometrical shape & organic shape, the lush landscape & sleek landscape, the rough texture & fine textures, and the bold & the light into "one-pointed-ness" to create a tunefulness ambiance. using an axis to have a balanced ambiance.
Through the fine process and research that we put into this design, we combine the contras elements into a harmonized union of a design.
The Location
Samara Lombok is located in South Lombok, Indonesia, an unspoilt tropical paradise island, identified by the Government as the core driver for the next stage in Indonesian tourism growth.
Our two sites Samara Bay and Samara Hills are made up of a range of low inland hills spread behind sweeping bays with pure white sandy beaches. Only 32km from Bali, yet worlds away from the maddening crowd
The masterplan
Our masterplan establishes a clear hierarchy, utilizing a strong central axis and water features to guide the guest journey from the entrance porte-cochère through to the communal hubs. We have effectively zoned the site, balancing active public areas—anchored by large feature pools—with secluded residential wings embedded in the landscape.
This design philosophy fractals down to the individual villa scale shown here. Each unit replicates that dramatic entry sequence with a foyer flanked by reflecting ponds. The layout provides advanced zoning, clearly separating the private sleeping wing containing three ensuite bedrooms from the expansive, open-plan living and dining wing. True luxury operation is ensured by the integration of distinct wet and dry kitchens for full-service capability.
Ultimately, these villas are designed for seamless indoor-outdoor living. The interiors open completely onto an expansive pool deck, supplemented by diversified private amenities like outdoor kitchens and unique sunken fire pits set within the lawn.

Villa exploration
Set on generous land parcels and tucked behind private walls, each villa becomes a serene sanctuary styled with traditional elements and bespoke artisan interiors. This three-bedroom villa is accented with natural timbers and textures, anchoring it within their tranquil setting and allowing occupants to connect harmoniously with the environment
